Caltech Employees Federal Credit Union is pushing for their high yield savings account called Regular Share Savings. This money in the bank deal has 3 tiers with the following current interest rate:

$0 to $25,000                          1.00% APY
$25,000.01 to $100,000     1.11% APY
$100,000.01 and above       1.26% APY

The earnings of this money in the bank deal is compounded and paid on a monthly basis. You need to make an initial deposit of 5 to open this high interest savings account. You can also access your account by enrolling to internet banking and even make bill payments and review you statements online. Take note that the current interest rate listed above is subject to change anytime without prior notice.

Membership with Caltech Employees Federal Credit Union is open to employees and retirees of the California Institute of Technology, other affiliated organizations and select employee group which is listed in the credit unions website. Relatives of existing members are also eligible to join. The credit union has a total of 3 branches located in the cities of Pasadena and La Cañada Flintridge in the state of California.
