Vision Bank Texas has a money in the bank opportunity thru their high interest savings account. The top interest rate at the moment is given to their Premier Savings account at 1.66% APY for deposits of at least $100,000. Anything below the $100K line earns a lower savings interest rate of 0.30% APY.

If you have money this amount of money that you can set aside for a savings account, this one has a very competitive interest rate compared to its peers. This savings account only allows 3 free withdrawals every quarter. We are assuming there will be charges when you go beyond this limit but this is not disclosed on their website.

There is an online applcation but it seems only those who are within their market area can open an account. The application form states that they can process requests from their market areas in the counties of Tarrant, Rockwall, Denton, Collin, and Dallas in Texas. You may want to call the bank and ask if you qualify.

Account holders can avoid the quarterly service fee of $10 if they can maintain their balance on the $100K line or above. You can monitor this account through quarterly statements that will be sent to you. You also get free access to online banking and you may subscibe to electronic bank statements if you prefer them over the usual paper bank statements.
