Peoples National Bank of Mora offers a high yield savings account called HD Savings that has current interest rates of 2.50% APY for balances below $10,000 and 0.15% for deposits above the $10K line. This savings account requires an opening deposit of $50.

The fine print on the page of this high interest savings account states that account holders must set up an automatic transfer from their HD or High Dividend Checking. This checking account is a no interest bearing account which requires $100 of initial funding. There are monthly fees if the account holder meets the debit card requirement of 10 transactions per month.

The earnings of the HD Savings account are accrued everyday while compounded on a quarterly basis. Aside from the list of requirements you may want to ask the bank if there are other fees which may affect your deposits. Some perks of this savings account are free electronic statements, internet baking, direct deposit, and phone banking.
