This offer is available to residents of Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada and Wisconsin. M&I Bank is offering a $100 bonus when you open their Cash Back Checking Account. This bonus will last until February 12th, 2010.

To qualify you must make 5 purchases with your check card (signature based) within 45 days of opening your account. Accounts must be opened with new money and there’s a limit of 1 per household.

In addition to the bonus there’s a cash back feature of the account which you may want to utilize. Here’s how it works: You get 0.25% cash back on signature based check card purchases. You get $0.25 for every deposit made up to maximum of $2 per billing cycle. You get $0.25 for every monthly online statement you receive. Finally you get $0.05 for every online payment made from your account for up to $2 per billing cycle. These aren’t huge sums of money but it’s nice to get paid to use the features that your checking account offers.

There is one catch and that’s a $10 monthly fee if you don’t do one of the following: make 3 transactions per statement cycle, maintain at least $1,000 in your account, or if you’re under the age of 25. None of these are that hard to accomplish so it’s pretty easy to avoid that fee.

M&I Bank is FDIC insured. To view the details on their bonus offer click here.
